In 2011, a joint concert was held at the Berliner Philharmonie, where the Ensemble and Choir of the Deutsch-Türkische Musikakademie performed together with the Berliner Konzert Chor and Orchestra.
The Deutsch-Türkish Musikakademie was founded in 1998 and has developed into a platform for research, teaching and publication on intercultural understanding through the medium of music.
